Sean Smith MBA

Sean Smith has dual roles at Agropur, a $6B Canadian Dairy Cooperative. He is the Category Director – Dairy Ingredients for Agropur as well as the Director, Supply Chain for Agropur Ingredients, an ingredients manufacturing business unit within Agropur. He is responsible for all strategic sourcing, contracting, development and supplier management for all Dairy Ingredients across Agropur. Sean also leads the supply chain for Agropur Ingredients, having responsibility for purchasing, production planning, inventory management, warehouse operations and logistics. Sean is a member of the Agropur Strategic Sourcing & Development Managing Board, as well as a member of Agropur Ingredients Management Committee and sits on the ERP Council for an implementation of Oracle, as a Business Process Owner for Procurement modules.  As well, Sean is the subject matter expert and lead for implementations of best of breed technology solutions in Contract Management and eRFX / eAuction as well as Market Intelligence.  Prior to joining Agropur, Sean was a Supply Chain Manager with Adventist Health System, responsible for the Contracting and Sourcing modules of a PeopleSoft implementation. From 2010 to 2012, Sean was a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Facilities at Citigroup. Previous to Citigroup Sean was a Supply Chain Manager in the United States Army. Sean has a Bachelor’s in Finance, Cum Laude, from University of Maryland and an MBA with a Supply Chain Management specialization from the University of South Florida. He is currently working on a Master’s in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University.
